Slip-on flanges with an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the tube body. This type of flange is connected to the pipe body by using fillet welds at the top and bottom of the flange body. A slip-on flange is like a socket welded flange, with the difference being that the inner hole of the slip-on flange has no shoulder. Therefore, this type of flange connection must be welded both on the outside and on the inside. But we only weld flanges.
We use slip-on flanges for larger pipe sizes. It is more popular than Welding Neck Flange because the price is cheaper and has a short hub, so it takes less installation distance.
